Cross-Strait Dilemmas: Critical Issues in Asia

Having given talks in MIT, Harvard, Brown University and so on, Professor Syaru Shirley Lin is coming to UW to talk on the Cross-Strait Dilemmas: Critical Issues in Asia. The talk will be on the “Cross-Strait Dilemmas,” discussing critical issues in Asia, particularly Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. Asia, as one of the world’s most complex regions in terms of relations between countries, has been going through a series of events that have changed and shaped the world we see today. The event aims to enhance the global views of college students, increasing their knowledge of the economic trends and the various events that are happening around the world. After the talk, commentators will be leading the Q&A, and audiences are encouraged to ask questions related to the talk but the floor is open to all questions. As an interviewer for the Harvard admissions team and a previous partner of Goldman Sachs responsible for private equity and venture capital investments in Asia, Professor Lin is happy to answer questions that students might feel more related to.
